The harvest

Posted 28/8/2013

In autumn and winter we are happy to offer our visitors the food that we grow at our Dacha. All the fruits we're trying to save for winter. We've already made marinated vegetables, cooked jam and frozen berries.

Welcome to Russian Dacha, it will be delicious!

At the end of August the weather changes, the days are become shorter and we know that the summer season is coming to the end.

The nights are cold and vegetables cease to grow. It's time to harvest zucchini, carrot, beet.

And it gets cold for cucumbers even in the greenhouse.

Every year we have the same problem - what to do with the harvest.

Small cucumbers are for  pickling, large ones are for salad. Jars of pickled vegetables are stored until the spring. We have home-made preserves on each of our festive table almost till the new harvest.

We are happy to invite all the guests to our table.

We make juice or salads out of beets and carrots, we eat them fresh until they wither.

We have also a lot of fruit trees. We make juice, jam, compote, and even wine out of Fruits.

And all this we offer in our tour to Russian Dacha!

We'll pick you up from the subway and will bring back after excursion.

You'll see Museum of Russian Dacha and get familiar to the history of dachas in Russia.

Welcome, snacks will be tasty! They were grown for you all the Summer!
