The great gratitude

Posted 4/9/2013

We are grateful to all the people who made possible the opening of our Museum. We thank all people who continue to bring us memories about our common Soviet past.

We are glad that our Museum brings back pleasant memories for Russian friends and introduces foreign guests with our Soviet past

Welcome to the Museum of Soviet Dacha in Moscow!

Museum of Soviet Dacha

Our Museum is constantly replenished with new exhibits.

The most part of exhibition consists of our old furniture, appliances and accessories accumulated in old Dacha house. Museum of Soviet Dacha

There have grown up three generations of children - my mother, I and my son In this house. We  brought here All unnecessary things of several generations from Moscow apartments.

Lots of things were donated to the Museum from friends and those people who like our idea.

Every year the interest to our own past makes people remember their childhood, things and history.

Diaproektor
Almost all of Muscovites have the same Soviet past. So I searched and found exactly the same things that my parents or their parents had.

The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. And since then many things have been thrown out and replaced by modern import analogues. Unfortunately, we have lived for too long time  in the similar conditions, clothing and interiors and we can't appreciate and cherish our inheritance.

Moscow Apartments  can't accommodate both past and present life.Every thing old goes to garbage dump or to dacha.

So  the most part of things were donated or sold to the Museum from another dachas. And thanks to dachas the old things have not been lost, and there are in the Museum now.

Rigonda

I've got a radiola Rigonda, which went to a dacha from Pushkino. It took all day to move Rigonda to the Museum in the trunk of my car.

My son told about our Museum at his school, and the family of classmate - beautiful people - gave the Museum a washing machine of 1966 year. Washing machine

Our friends managed to keep the clothes 70s and 80s, which was gifted to our Museum on the holiday . So in the It was a form of employee railway and school uniform of any Soviet girl, along with a festive white apron.

Our Museum often donated icons and postcards. Icons occupied an important place in our Soviet past life and they are the subject of a story.

AccessoriesMy son's nanny brought together for us a whole box of gifts. There was a lace tablecloth, a necessary attribute of any house in 40-60 years, shaving set, stamps and postcards, interesting and very old things.

My husband's Mother is  very wise woman. She managed to save in cabinets many Soviet of things. She kept things of her youth and childhood of her children. She gave the Museum clothes, toys, books and many other items in the old pre-war suitcase.

We are grateful to all the people who made possible the opening of our Museum. We thank all those who continue to bring us memories about our common Soviet past.

We are glad that  our exhibits bring back pleasant memories for Russian friends and introduces foreign guests with our Soviet past instead of the inglorious end of the dump. Welcome to the Museum of Soviet Dacha in Moscow!
